Introducing Eng Rugby:The England national rugby union team represents England in rugby union. They battle in the annual Six Nations Championship with France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and Wales. They have won this contest on 25 occasions, 12 times winning the Grand Slam, making them the most victorious team in the tournaments record. England also competes for the Calcutta Cup with Scotland as part of the Six Nations. They are ranked fourth in the world by the International Rugby Board as of 15th November 2010. England won the Rugby World Cup in 2003 and ended runners-up in 1991 and 2007.
Introducing Ireland Rugby:The Ireland Rugby Union Team represents the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland) in rugby union. The team competes annually in the Six Nations Championship (which they have won eleven times outright and shared eight times) and every four years in the Rugby World Cup, where they have been eliminated at the quarter-final stage in all but two competitions (1999 and 2007). Ireland is moreover one of the four unions which make up the British and Irish Lions – players entitled to play for Ireland are also entitled for the Lions. Eight previous Ireland players have earned introduction into the International Rugby Hall of Fame, with four of them also having earned stimulation into the IRB Hall of Fame.
